I had pretty much forgotten I had even bought this when it showed up in the mail. It was around the beginning of last year, I think.
Listening to this, I thought: “Wow, what a short album.” Then I realized that I had accidentally been playing it at 45 RMP. Which, for a languid instrumental album, still worked. Droning atmospherics setting the mood for a documentary about a dour subject in Japanese culture. I think the film is called Watashi no hanashi Buraku no hanashi, which I’m guessing is the original Japanese for the English title of this soundtrack.
Good music for writing to. Letting your mind wander and explore the landscapes of creativity within your mind. Another reminder that I should pick up my guitar and mess around with effects and the synths on my iPad.
That would make for some content on this Substack, huh?
