Los CampeSimpsons!
If I’m remembering correctly, it was when I was guest hosting the Pick A Disc podcast episode where regular host Matt Latham and I talked about the Los Campesinos! album Romance Is Boring, and I mentioned something about The Simpsons, and this image popped into my head:
I then began to think about all the different lyrics from Los Campesinos! that could fit with images/scenes from The Simpsons, and thus the idea for Los CampeSimpsons was born...
However, with podcasting and life also being on my plate at the time, I gave up on the endeavor after a couple weeks...
Then, Los Campesinos! announced a new album, All Hell, and an LC! podcast called Weeping Dipshits! started up, and I got bit by the bug again. So I started posting them on Instagram again, and thought I’d share my collection of the week here, because some people have principles and refuse to support Mark Zuckerberg and his democracy endangering products.
(And since the new album just came out, I chose to feature only songs from it — the song titles are links to Apple Music, or the Bandcamp widget is at the bottom of them all.)
Of course, I used the wonderful site Frinkiac to generate all of these, and maybe I’ll do this again next week.
